Modules
Proud to be kiwi made, Freeform Alfresco Kitchens are designed and manufactured in our Christchurch factory. We offer options to incorporate your existing or new BBQ, either free-standing or in-built. You may also choose to add a Smoker, Traeger, Kamado Joe or Green Egg. All modules are 890mm high & our benchtops are 700mm deep, unless shown otherwise.

OUR MENU
Our designers have created an Alfresco menu catering for modest through to extravagant budgets. We invite you to select from three options. The Buffet, where our designers have pre-prepared sizing and colour choices for you. The Gourmet, choose from a range of more bespoke colour options, or perhaps our final menu selection is more to your taste. Trust The Chief allows you to sit back and relax while we take care of all details. Served with a landscape design plan and accompanied with additional extras.

Buffet Range
Available as a carefully considered collection of set sizes & colours
The components for our Buffet Range are available in set sizes and colours. Begin your plan by mixing & matching any of our module sizes. If you would like an in-built BBQ or fridge, we will custom make units to exact size.
Choosing your benchtop & cabinet front colours is simple. Click the first box on your left. When you chosen benchtop colour appears, move to the box on the right and click your cabinet front colour.
Gourmet Range
Gourmet is only limited by your imagination and budget.
We deliver our entire Dekton colour palette to your table. Nothing in our Gourmet Range is pre-prepared, not the colours & not the design. All cabinetry is custom made to fit your design and space.
When you're looking for colour inspiration in the Gourmet Range, simply click the Benchtop and Cabinet Front boxes to line up complimentary colours for your unique space. (Please note, it may not always be possible to pattern match marbles). If you wish to guarantee a pattern match we will discuss the options with you.

Our upfront cost for this package is available on request. If you decide to push go and Trust the Chef, we then begin the planning and construction with local tradesmen to complete your dream Alfresco Kitchen.
Components & Surfaces
Designed exclusively for Freeform, our cabinet fronts are comprised of a double walled system clad in Dekton. Dekton has also been chosen for our benchtop surfaces. In an outdoor setting this ultra-compact, sintered stone boasts unparalleled durability & beauty. Proven to retain its good looks in our New Zealand climate.
We have paired the quality of our Dekton Benchtops & Cabinet Fronts with the latest German made 304 grade stainless steel hinges from Hettich.
With sleek clean lines, our design required handles and cut-outs to remain stylishly absent. After extensively searching, Freeform has sourced alfresco push to open drawer runners. This high-quality push mechanism has made it possible to maintain the sleek clean design, we know you’re going to love.
- Hot Pots The hottest of pans can be placed directly onto your Dekton benchtop without the risk of damage.
- Flame Resistant Exposure to an open flame will not damage your Dekton Benchtop. Sintered stone contains no polymers or protective coatings that can scorch or melt.
- Thermal Shock Dekton can be taken from extremes of hot too cold without suffering thermal shock.
- Fading Dekton is UV stable, colours will not fade or turn yellow.
- Maintenance Dekton is very easy to clean and never needs sealing. Mild soap and water are perfect for everyday cleaning,
- Stains Dekton has no pores to absorb discolouring liquids. Wine, coffee, lemon juice, & grease can all be easily wiped away.
- Moisture Dekton absorbs less than 0.09% of moisture, perfect in NZ frosts.
- Scratching Cutting directly on a Dekton benchtop will not mark the surface but will blunt your knife. Scratching and marking are not a concern with Dekton.
Where to start
For some of our clients, planning their outdoor kitchen space is the first step in an exciting process, but not everyone feels this way. If you love the thought of an Alfresco kitchen but planning the space deflates your bubble, call in and let us help you get started.
Location
Think about proximity to your house, how sheltered the area is. Does it get morning/evening sun?
Layout
Do you want your kitchen to be placed against a wall? Maybe add a freestanding island? Perhaps a corner unit?
BBQ
Will you incorporate your existing BBQ? You could also add a Smoker, Traeger, Kamado Joe or Green Egg?
Power
If you have a Rotisserie or Fridge you will also require outdoor power. (Please note, to function properly an outdoor fridge should not be placed in direct sunlight)
Water
Will you need a sink? Plumbing is also a consideration when adding a sink.
Level
Do you have an existing level base to place your kitchen on? Will you require a builder or landscaper to help with this?

VISIT US
Call in or email us, we can answer any questions you may have. In planning your outdoor kitchen we will also have a few questions before things can move to the production stage. Obtaining all relevant information during the planning stage allows us to deliver you an Alfresco Kitchen you’ll love.
PROCESS
We require estimated dimensions of size, along with any additional information you may have. Photos of your intended location and a basic sketch of your plan is always helpful. Our conversation then focuses on the details of your design. Once all this information is finalised, check your emails as our quote won’t be far away.
With confirmation of your acceptance and deposit payment, we are ready to arrange a site visit. This allows us to carry out a site assessment and obtain accurate measurements of your space. Once we have confirmation of all points, along with your sign off on our plan, materials are ordered ready for production to begin.
INSTALLATION
All our kitchens are installed by certified Freeform Installers. To bring you our sleek, elegant Alfresco design, we have combined several different materials. Installation is completed by Freeform to ensure every element is fitted together in exacting standards, allowing you to enjoy your new Alfresco space without compromise.
